Project Terms & Artwork License

1. You keep your copyright

Submitting an artwork never transfers ownership. You remain the sole owner of the copyright in your work, for as long as that copyright exists, in every country.

2. The license you grant us

If your submission is approved and published, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• display the artwork — together with your artist name, age, country and any title or description you provided — on this website, for as long as it remains part of the exhibition;
• share it on the project's own social media, press kits and promotional material for Centurial Art;
• pass it on to third parties for editorial or public-interest purposes — press coverage, partner exhibitions, catalogues or documentation of the project — without needing to ask you each time.

3. What this license does not cover

This license is strictly non-commercial. It does not include selling prints, merchandise, commercial licensing to brands, or any other form of paid exploitation of your work. Should the project ever offer any of that, it will ask for your separate, explicit, freely given consent first — you are never opted in automatically, and this document alone never authorizes it.

4. This license is permanent

The license lasts for as long as your copyright exists — it does not expire, and it is not tied to how long the exhibition runs. This reflects what Centurial Art is: a single, unchanging historical record, one artist per age, meant to exist permanently rather than be edited after the fact.

This does not affect your copyright ownership, which always stays with you, and it does not stop you from also licensing or selling your own work elsewhere.

5. Once published, an entry is generally permanent

Because every age exists exactly once, removing a published entry would alter the historical record the project is built around. For that reason, approval is treated as final, and we do not offer an on-request takedown once a work is live.

The operator may still remove or replace a published entry at its own discretion where legally necessary — for example, a valid copyright or rights complaint, a discovered breach of section 6 below, or a legal order. Separately, your personal data (email, guardian details) can still be deleted on request at any time, exactly as described in the Privacy Policy — that is independent of whether the artwork itself stays on display.

6. What you confirm when you submit

By submitting, you confirm that:

• the work is your own — created by you, a human being, without generative-AI tools;
• it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• it does not contain anything illegal, and is not hateful, discriminatory or intended to demean any person or group;
• if you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed this submission and agrees to these terms on your behalf.

7. Review and rejection

Every submission is reviewed before publication. The operator may reject or request changes to any submission that does not meet section 6, that misrepresents the artist's age, or that is otherwise unsuitable for the exhibition, at its own discretion.

8. No fees, either way

Taking part is free. Under these terms, no payment is made in either direction — the operator does not charge artists to take part, and does not pay artists for the license described in section 2. Any future commercial arrangement (section 3) would be a separate, additional agreement.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. Changes apply to new submissions from the date they're published; if a change would materially affect artworks already live, we'll look for a reasonable way to let existing artists know.

10. Governing law and contact
