About

100 ages. 100 perspectives. One question.

Samantha, my wife, is an artist. When she paints, she's completely present with herself. Thoughts and feelings travel straight onto the canvas. And when other people stand in front of her paintings and feel something themselves, something happens that we both find remarkable: a single brushstroke gives rise to emotions that are different for everyone.

That's where an idea came from: what if, instead of asking one artist, you asked a hundred artists the same question, one for every age between 1 and 100? No two answers would be alike. Together, they would span an entire human life.

The first question is: What does happiness look like for you? Deliberately open, so everyone can answer it in their own way. Later editions can take on very different, more specific themes.

For us, Centurial Art is also simply this: a shared hobby we enjoy enormously. Finding a hundred people of every age, hearing their story, and seeing their art. It sometimes feels like collecting stickers in an album, except every sticker holds an entire life inside it.

The first step is simple: fill the collection. Cover all 100 ages and see how much joy that brings to us, and above all to the artists themselves. What comes after will be decided along the way.

Is your age still open? Then join in. Or do you just have a question, feedback, or an idea? Get in touch through the contact form. We look forward to every message.
